In Chamoli district, a canteen worker was detained for alleged misconduct involving a young girl. The incident came to light when the family of the girl lodged a formal complaint, prompting police to take swift action.
The accused, identified as Ravinder Kumar Nath, 43, was working at a canteen for veterans. Police confirmed the arrest followed a Sunday complaint, with Nath allegedly having misbehaved with and molested the girl.
A thorough investigation is underway. Authorities have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, underscoring the seriousness of the charges.
