Outrage in Tripura: Teen Injured by Falling Live Wire

Outrage erupted in Tripura's Dhalai district after a live wire snapped, causing severe burn injuries to a 13-year-old girl named Bulti Nama. The incident occurred as she was headed to Ambassa market, highlighting potential negligence from the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL).
Local residents, angered by the incident, attacked the local TSECL office. The police were summoned to control the crowd, resulting in a confrontation where some officers, including the Officer in Charge of Ambassa police station, Nandan Das, sustained injuries from stone pelting.
Authorities have launched a suo motu case against unidentified individuals involved in the unrest. Meanwhile, two TSECL officials received show cause notices for alleged negligence. They are required to respond within three days, and further action depends on their replies.
