An auto-rickshaw driver was taken into custody after allegedly filming a female passenger without her consent and attempting to exploit her sexually, authorities reported Friday. The suspect, identified as Afzal Asif Khan, came under scrutiny following a complaint by the victim.

The incident unfolded when the woman booked the rickshaw to get to Malad from Kurar. As alleged, Khan recorded her on his mobile phone throughout the journey. Upon reaching the destination, the driver continued filming as she paid the fare.

When the woman protested, the driver allegedly threatened to make the video public, coercing her into a physical relationship. Nearby traffic police detained Khan and he now faces multiple charges, including molestation and criminal intimidation. Investigations are ongoing to uncover any past criminal activities by Khan.
