VHP Demands Tougher Laws Against 'Love Jihad' Amid Rising Concerns

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has taken a formal step by sending a memorandum to President Droupadi Murmu, advocating for more stringent laws to address alleged cases of religious conversions and 'love jihad'.

Pankaj Bhaartiya, VHP state joint secretary, voiced concerns about the increasing frequency of such incidents, especially in the corporate and commercial sectors. He cited recent occurrences in Nashik as evidence of these issues penetrating educated and professional domains.

In addition to religious conversion concerns, the VHP also highlighted issues of land encroachment and food contamination as threats to national security. Similarly, Bajrang Dal leaders in Hamirpur have pledged to protect national unity, submitting a related memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Hamirpur Gandharva Rathore.
