The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) made a significant arrest at the Tis Hazari Court complex on Thursday, apprehending a reader from the court of an Additional Sessions Judge on charges of bribery.

The individual allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 30,000 from a lawyer, promising to expedite the bail allowance of her client. Following a complaint lodged against the individual, the CBI set up a sting operation.

Officials caught the accused red-handed, accepting Rs 20,000, a portion of the total requested bribe. This operation underscores the CBI's ongoing efforts to eliminate corruption within the judicial system.
