A young employee from a Mumbai private firm faces arrest for severe allegations of stalking and sexual harassment against a female colleague. The 24-year-old, based in Sewri, reportedly targeted women from a particular community by sending objectionable messages and making derogatory comments online.
The controversy unfolded following a complaint filed at the Agripada police station by a 19-year-old victim. She alleged that the accused accessed her phone number through the company's WhatsApp group, sending her obscene videos and seeking inappropriate advances. Her father supports the claim that at least three women from their community were targeted.
Police have arrested the accused under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the IT Act. The court has placed him in police custody until April 28, highlighting the gravity of the charges.
