An 18-year-old woman associated with the banned CPI (Maoist) from Chhattisgarh has turned herself in to authorities in the Mulugu district of Telangana, police revealed.
She surrendered to the District Superintendent of Police, Kekan Sudhir Ramanath, as reported in a statement released on Friday.
Inspired by the Telangana government's initiatives for rehabilitating surrendered Maoists, she decided to forsake her past, aiming for a peaceful existence and a return to mainstream society, the statement added.
