In a significant crackdown on drug activity, Telangana's EAGLE Force has arrested five individuals, seizing a total of 450 kg of ganja across two separate incidents in the districts of Khammam and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri.
The operation, conducted on May 16, saw three accused suppliers apprehended in Khammam, yielding a haul of 100 kg of the substance. In Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, a further 350 kg was confiscated from two more suspects, the EAGLE Force stated in a release.
This decisive action also led to the detention of 12 consumers, who have been directed to de-addiction centers, marking a comprehensive strike at both supply and demand in the region's drug trade.
