The Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) made significant developments on Thursday with the arrest of former minister Mahesh Joshi in connection to the extensive Rs 900-crore Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) scam.
Previously detained by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in April 2025 for money laundering linked to this case, Joshi faced incarceration for seven months until the Supreme Court granted him bail last December.
The ACB's Special Investigation Team (SIT) acted swiftly, arriving at Joshi's residence in San Colony near Jaipur Railway Station early in the morning, where he was apprehended over alleged corruption during his tenure as PHED minister. This complex investigation has already led to multiple arrests, although several key suspects remain on the run.
