The leaders, addressing a press conference, emphasized the necessity for an ordinance that would empower the Election Commission of India to finalize these reservations. The legislation, passed by Parliament last August, aims to adjust boundaries for such representation.
With assembly elections potentially advancing to December, it's uncertain if these seats will be reserved, raising concerns among tribal representatives who threaten agitation without prompt action.
