Union Home Minister Amit Shah has lauded the decade-long transformation of Assam under the NDA government, highlighting the state's shift from being an epicenter of violence to a center of learning and development. He made these remarks at the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Addressing the ceremony, Shah emphasized that the continuous electoral support for the BJP-led government reflects public trust in their governance. Underlining the state's past plagued by insurgency, Shah noted the robust foundation laid for development and security in Assam, promising further progress.
The Home Minister assured that the government would strive tirelessly to meet the aspirations of the people of Assam. Chief Minister Sarma expressed gratitude to Shah and credited the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the ongoing good governance in the state.
