The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced it will reveal the schedule for the re-conduct of the NEET-UG 2026 examination within ten days after the original test was canceled due to allegations of a paper leak. This was confirmed by NTA's Director General Abhishek Singh during a media briefing on Tuesday.
During the press conference, Singh reassured candidates that the NTA, alongside the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), is taking all necessary measures to address irregularities and ensure future exams' integrity. He emphasized the agency's commitment to strict action against any individuals involved in the leaks.
Amid mounting concerns over repeated examination paper breaches, Singh acknowledged the gravity of the situation, citing similar issues in the 2024 cycle. In light of these events, the Union Education Ministry has deferred comment, while the NTA remains focused on organizing a secure re-examination without additional costs or registrations for affected candidates.
