Nuh police conducted a significant raid, targeting an alleged drug peddler operating from a shop. The suspect, identified as Tahir, was arrested and found in possession of 34 bottles of cough syrup, 6,784 narcotic capsules, along with Rs 2.28 lakh cash, according to the officials.

Authorities had been tipped off about illegal drug sales from this establishment, prompting them to assemble a raiding party. The operation took place in Manota village, where the accused attempted to flee but was apprehended by law enforcement officers in cooperation with the village sarpanch.

The police report has been escalated to the drug inspector in Gurugram who verified the drugs as banned under the NDPS Act. During questioning, the suspect failed to provide any documentation for the illicit substances and claimed they were supplied by an individual known as Irshad, who remains at large.
