A joint effort between local police and the Sashastra Seema Bal's 42nd Battalion has led to the arrest of a Nepalese national near the Indo-Nepal border.
The suspect, identified as Mohammad Jabir Halwai, was reportedly caught with 4.66 kilograms of illegal charas valued at approximately Rs 2.5 crore.
Officials, acting on a tip-off, arrested him in Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich district. The accused has been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, with further investigations ongoing to unravel any wider drug networks.
