Tamil Nadu and Delhi Shine in Logistics Performance with 'Exemplar' Status

The Commerce and Industry Ministry has recognized Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Mizoram, and Delhi as 'exemplars' in its 2025 logistics performance ranking. This distinction, detailed in the LEADS (Logistics ease across different states) 2025 report, is an indicator of these states' outstanding logistical efficiencies.

Released by Minister Piyush Goyal, the report categorizes states and Union Territories under various performance tiers, promoting logistical reforms and benchmarking. While exemplars showcase excellence, other states are recognized as 'high performers', 'accelerators', or 'growth seekers' based on their progress.

The 2025 report, refining the previous performance model, serves as a tool for reform planning and peer learning. It underscores the government's commitment to logistics improvements under PM GatiShakti National Master Plan. Goyal highlighted reduced logistics costs, aiming for competitive parity with global standards.
