A police constable was injured in an accidental gun discharge in Rajasthan's Khairthal-Tijara district, officials reported. The incident occurred at the Mundawar police station when Constable Harpal was cleaning his service weapon. The firearm accidentally discharged, causing injuries to Harpal.
Upon hearing the gunshot, fellow officers immediately arrived at the scene, offering prompt assistance to their injured colleague. Harpal was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital in Behror for medical attention.
Authorities stated that although the situation is being initially treated as an accident, a thorough inquiry has been launched to investigate all possible angles surrounding the incident.
