Tamil Nadu's new government portfolio has been announced, with Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay retaining key portfolios such as police and general administration. These selections align with the tradition of TN Chief Ministers holding crucial departments.
Veteran leader K A Sengottaiyan has been appointed as Finance Minister, continuing his extensive political career. His diverse past ministerial roles span education, agriculture, and technology. A further 24 ministerial positions remain open, reflecting the assembly's composition.
The appointments, approved by Governor Rajendra Viswanath Arlekar, came a week after the swearing-in of the council. While several portfolios are yet to be allocated, other ministers include N Anand for rural development, Dr K G Arunraj for health, and Rajmohan for school education.
