In a significant move, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay has outlined the portfolio allocations for his newly established council of ministers, receiving the governor's approval on Saturday.
As part of his responsibilities, Vijay will oversee public welfare sectors, including police, youth, and women. N Anand steps in as the minister of rural development and water resources, while Aadhav Arjuna manages public works and sports.
Dr. K G Arunraj is appointed to lead health and family welfare, and K A Sengottaiyan will take charge of the state's finances, marking a comprehensive reshuffle at the top of the state's administration.
