Tragic Family Incident: Man Arrested for Double Murder in Jharkhand

A shocking incident in Jharkhand's Lohardaga district has left the community in disbelief as a man was arrested for the alleged murder of his elderly mother and wife. Police officials reported the tragic event occurred in the village of Dhanamuji under Bhandra police station jurisdiction on Saturday evening.

The accused, Madwa Oraon, was apprehended shortly after the crime. According to reports, Oraon struck his mother Rupi Oraon, aged 62, and wife Somri Oraon, aged 45, with an iron rod following a dispute, resulting in their deaths. Superintendent of Police Sadique Anwar Rizvi confirmed the details of the incident.

Authorities have revealed that the suspect has a history of mental instability, receiving treatment for over a year. His frequent agitation over trivial matters is suspected to have contributed to this tragic event. An FIR has been filed, as confirmed by Manoj Gupta, the officer-in-charge of the Bhandra police station.
