Mizoram Police have apprehended two individuals in connection with the distribution of obscene content on social media platforms, as disclosed in an official statement. The investigation kicked off following reports of explicit material being circulated through two specific YouTube channels.

According to the statement, these channels contained videos that were accessible to the public, including minors, and violated provisions under Section 294 of the BNS and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act. These sections address the publication of obscene content.

The operators of the accounts, Henry Lalrinpuia from Hunthar and Vanlalhmangaihzuala from Phuldungsei village, were identified with YouTube's assistance and technical investigation. Arrests were made on different days, and their mobile devices were confiscated for further scrutiny.
