Unacceptable Threats to Commercial Shipping in Strait of Hormuz

India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Parvathaneni Harish, strongly condemned the recent attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

Speaking at a UNECOSOC meeting, Harish highlighted the unacceptable threats these incidents pose to civilian crews and global navigation freedom.

This condemnation follows an attack on an India-flagged vessel near Oman amid ongoing tensions from the West Asia conflict.
