Dramatic Chase in Assam: Mastermind Robber Killed in Police Gunfight
In Assam's Nagaon district, a suspected robber was killed in a police gunfight following intelligence about an upcoming heist. Identified as Khairul Ali, alias Moni, the alleged mastermind of a recent robbery, he was shot during a chase. A weapon was recovered from the scene.

In the early hours of Tuesday, law enforcement officials in Assam's Nagaon district engaged in a deadly gunfight with a suspected robber, according to local authorities. The incident unfolded after police received intelligence about a group planning a new heist.
Nagaon SSP Partha Protim Das reported that the operation was launched at Borkandali-Mikirpar village based on a tip-off. During the operation, five suspects attempted to escape, and one reportedly opened fire on the police.
In response, officers exercised their legal right to self-defense, resulting in the suspect being injured and later declared dead at a local hospital. The deceased was identified as Khairul Ali, who had been involved in several crimes.
