Rahul Gandhi has directly addressed Dharmendra Pradhan, rebutting his recent criticisms by insisting that attacks on him will not shield the education minister from responsibility over the NEET-CBSE issue. Gandhi questioned the decision to award contracts to a controversial firm, COEMPT, linked to previous scandals.
Gandhi accused the government of failing to conduct necessary background checks before granting the CBSE contract and demanded accountability. He warned that Dharmendra Pradhan's conduct could endanger students' futures and called for the prime minister to consider the minister's dismissal. Meanwhile, Pradhan refuted Gandhi's claims, maintaining that all procedures conformed with India's procurement policies.
He labeled Gandhi's remarks as politically motivated, attributing them to frustration from electoral setbacks. Pradhan emphasized that the focus should be on alleviating students' stress and expressed commitment to addressing any legitimate concerns.
