India Funds Construction of 14 Schools in Nepal's Quake-Affected Regions

In a significant step to support Nepal's recovery from devastating earthquakes, India has committed Nepali Rupees 560.2 million to construct 14 schools in affected areas. The schools will be built across eight districts, further solidifying the nations' reconstruction efforts.

The Central Level Project Implementation Unit-Education, part of Nepal's Ministry of Education and Sports, has finalized agreements with India for these projects. Cities like Gorkha, Nuwakot, and Kathmandu will see new schools, incorporating earthquake-resilient designs and providing essential facilities.

This initiative follows past efforts where 70 schools and a key university library were rebuilt. India remains a steadfast partner in Nepal's socio-economic progress and disaster recovery initiatives.
