Nayab Singh Saini has issued directives for the creation of testing laboratories across Haryana, intending to strengthen quality checks on civil construction projects in the region.

In a meeting with senior engineering officials, Saini emphasized the necessity for rigorous evaluations, stating that any compromise on developmental quality is unacceptable. Accountability and responsibility must be clearly defined, ensuring effective oversight at every stage.

He stressed the importance of systemic reforms to drive meaningful improvements, asserting that leaders who fail to uphold these standards will face consequences.

To bolster the initiative, Saini ordered that weekly inspections become a standard practice, with compliance reports regularly updated on the Haryana Engineering Portal. Monthly meetings will track progress, and inspection committees must include members from outside the executing agencies to ensure objectivity.

In a detailed presentation, Quality Assurance Authority Chairman Rajeev Arora highlighted comprehensive measures for standardization, such as appointing consultants for project design and ensuring all labs meet national accreditation standards.
