Activist Sonam Wangchuk has refuted remarks made by Ladakh's Lieutenant Governor, VK Saxena, concerning the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a digital movement. Wangchuk insists he remains a dedicated supporter of the initiative, light-heartedly considering himself an 'honorary cockroach.'
Following a meeting described as amicable, Saxena's subsequent comments on social media accused Wangchuk of uncertainty about the origins of CJP and the potential involvement of foreign entities, claims which Wangchuk firmly dismissed.
Despite allegations of international influence, Wangchuk conversed publicly with CJP's founder, Abhijeet Dipke, seeking clarity on media metrics confirming the majority audience hails from India. Wangchuk criticized perceived governmental insecurities and disavowed any need for impetuous altercations.
He maintained that his analogy comparing Ladakh to Manipur was intentional and remains committed to facilitating discussions on potential collaborations, urging transparency from both the government and the CJP.
