To bolster the security of the upcoming NEET-UG retest, Indian officials are contemplating the use of Indian Air Force aircraft for transporting exam papers. This strategic consideration arose during a significant meeting chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, including participation from Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
While the proposal remains in the deliberation stage, with no conclusive decision yet made, it is slated to be presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for final approval. The Prime Minister is reportedly paying close attention to the June 21 retest's preparations, being briefed on every detail.
The examination process was thoroughly discussed, spanning from paper setting and printing to logistics and security measures. This session follows allegations of a paper leak that led to the NEET-UG's cancellation in May. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently investigating the case, having arrested 13 individuals across various cities.
