Supreme Court Upholds Anticipatory Bail for Swami in POCSO Case

The Supreme Court has decided not to intervene in the anticipatory bail granted by the Allahabad High Court to Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati. The case is linked to allegations under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Despite arguments from the complainant's side asserting that the seriousness of the charges was overlooked, the court opted not to interfere. The complainant accused Avimukteshwaranand of exploiting minors under the guise of education. The Supreme Court noted the delay in reporting the alleged incidents and instructed the parties to avoid media interactions and cooperate with legal procedures.
