Authorities in Hyderabad have apprehended six people in connection with the killing of advocate Khaza Moizuddin, which occurred last week. Among those arrested is Telangana Congress leader Mujahid Alam Khan, who is accused of orchestrating the plot with his family due to a protracted dispute over Waqf properties.
The investigation has revealed that deep-seated conflicts regarding Waqf property management were central to the motive behind the murder. The altercation allegedly reached a critical point, leading to a deliberate attack involving a speeding SUV that struck Moizuddin near his home.
Footage from CCTV cameras played a crucial role in identifying the suspects, who had been monitoring Moizuddin's movements prior to the incident. Reports indicate that the murder plan entailed a substantial contract fee, further supported by Mujahid Alam Khan's financial arrangements for logistics.
The Congress party has since suspended Mujahid Alam Khan pending the investigation's outcome. Meanwhile, police continue to piece together evidence to unravel the extent of the conspiracy and bring those responsible to justice.
