Aadhav Arjuna, a minister in Tamil Nadu, has claimed that a strategic alliance between two Dravidian parties has prompted several AIADMK leaders and members to join forces with the Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). Arjuna shared these views during a party meeting, suggesting that up to 90% of the AIADMK members are considering such moves.
He welcomed former AIADMK leaders into TVK, asserting no financial inducements were offered. Arjuna criticized AIADMK's leadership post-Jayalalithaa, leading to successive electoral losses and a weakened party presence. Alleged negotiations between DMK's Udhayanidhi Stalin and AIADMK's leadership are believed to aim at corrupt power-sharing.
In response, several secular allies have shifted allegiance to TVK. Arjuna emphasized TVK's dedication to transparency and honesty, claiming significant reductions in corruption since their leadership took charge. He announced weekly induction events to welcome more defectors to the TVK platform.
