A significant building collapse occurred near the Saket metro station in south Delhi on Saturday evening, trapping several individuals under its debris. Emergency responders and police are conducting a rigorous search-and-rescue mission.

The building, consisting of five stories and housing a coaching institute, fell completely, leaving behind a heap of rubble. With ongoing construction on upper floors, there are concerns that students might be among the trapped. Rescue operations were promptly initiated, with seven fire tenders dispatched to the scene.

Bystanders, armed with mobile phone flashlights, joined authorities at the site, attempting to detect signs of life amidst the chaos. The surroundings descended into organized pandemonium as neighbors and first responders worked side by side to clear paths for rescue efforts.

Despite the extensive damage to the building itself, nearby structures appear unaffected. The exact number of trapped individuals remains unverified as rescue efforts persist.
