A tragic incident unfolded in Jharkhand's Garhwa district when a 22-year-old woman and her two-year-old son were found dead in their home in Soro village. The discovery was made on Saturday, as reported by police officials.
The woman's mother-in-law, Tirkumari Devi, returned home from grazing goats to find the door locked from the inside. After failing to get a response from Sangita Kumari, she sought help from villagers. Upon breaking the door, they found the bodies of Sangita and her child on the floor, according to officer Rahul Kumar Singh.
Preliminary investigations suggest a suicide, as police found a bottle of pesticide in the house. The bodies have been sent for autopsy to Garhwa Sadar Hospital to determine the true cause of death. Relatives mentioned that the deceased's husband, Mukesh Pal, had left for Gujarat for work two weeks prior.
The police emphasize that the definitive cause will be ascertained once the post-mortem report is available, as they continue to explore all possible leads.
