An elderly couple residing in Davlameti was found dead in their home, prompting an investigation by local authorities. Police believe that Gangadhar Bhongade, a retired employee of the Defence Ordnance Factory, died from a fall in the kitchen, leaving his paralysed wife, Kaushalya, unable to communicate or seek aid.

The tragic discovery was made by their son-in-law, who visited after failing to contact them for several days. The entrance was locked from the inside, and a foul odour prompted him to notify the police. Newspapers from late May were found untouched, suggesting the couple had been deceased for several days. The Wadi Police have filed an accidental death case and are continuing their inquiry.
