Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reiterated his government's dedication to ensuring justice for the Maratha community, following the conclusion of an indefinite fast by Manoj Jarange. Jarange, advocating for a Maratha quota, ended his protest after engaging in discussions with state representatives who presented a 12-point proposal.
In a statement to reporters, Fadnavis emphasized that the commitments extended to Jarange have been in the public sphere all along, with no new assurances offered privately. He maintained that the government's unwavering stance has always been to uphold justice for the Marathas.
Additionally, during an event honoring Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar, Fadnavis underscored the state's initiatives to preserve historical sites linked to her legacy. He mentioned that development plans for such projects are already underway despite election-related constraints.
