The Madhya Pradesh government announced a new safety initiative aimed at protecting farmers who travel by motorcycle to sell their produce in cities. Chief Mohan Yadav stated that by providing helmets, the administration hopes to significantly cut down on fatalities and injuries resulting from road accidents.

During a meeting with farmers in Shujalpur, Yadav highlighted the risks farmers face on the roads and emphasized the commitment of his administration to their welfare. This initiative complements ongoing efforts to support agricultural productivity and income, including the Bhavantar scheme and proposals to improve processing industries.

Besides the helmet distribution, Yadav reiterated his administration's achievements in wheat procurement and urged further advancements in urad pulse cultivation. The state is preparing for the coming agricultural season with projects to ensure consistent power supply for farmers.

As part of the 'Krishak Kalyan Varsh' declared for 2026, multiple state departments are working to transform agriculture into a profitable, technology-driven enterprise. The initiative aims to uplift the agricultural sector by integrating modern industries and offering crucial safety measures.
