Nabeel Hayat Ansari, a resident of Kurauna village in Uttar Pradesh, was arrested for allegedly recording children without their knowledge and sharing the footage on social media, police announced recently. The motivation behind these actions was reportedly to gain more followers and generate income.

The inquiry was triggered by a complaint filed with the district cyber crime unit via the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal earlier this year. Investigators linked Ansari's mobile number and email to the social media account used for posting the videos. Further examination disclosed that between January 17 and April 6, Ansari uploaded numerous videos of children on Instagram, leading to charges under the Information Technology Act, which prohibits publishing or transmitting sexually explicit content involving minors.
