An electric vehicle charging mishap caused a fire in a Ghaziabad residential building, specifically in the Ram Puri area of Surya Nagar. The incident occurred late night, creating panic among local residents as flames swiftly spread.
Eyewitnesses reported dense smoke enveloping the building, forcing about 15 people to jump to an adjacent structure for safety. Quick intervention by fire crews from Vaishali and Sahibabad stations brought the blaze under control within 25 minutes. Chief Fire Officer Rahul Pal stated that a detailed probe is in progress to ascertain the fire's origin, suspected to be a short circuit during charging.
