Her statement followed Union Home Minister Amit Shah's high-priority meeting with chief ministers, chief secretaries, and DGPs of states neighboring Pakistan and Nepal.
The meeting addressed the recent retaliatory strikes by the Indian armed forces targeting terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. These actions came in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, underscoring the ongoing regional tensions.
In her appeal, Banerjee emphasized the need for collective action against terrorism and urged media outlets to report accurately and avoid spreading misinformation. Her comments reflect a call for cohesion during these challenging times at both a state and national level.
