Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday voiced concern about the plight of voiceless civilians caught in the relentless cycle of violence between India and Pakistan.
Her comments came as 13 people, including four children, were killed and 57 injured in heavy cross-border shelling along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. The shelling followed Indian missile strikes on Pakistani terror infrastructure, a retaliation for a deadly attack in Pahalgam.
Mufti took to social media to express her anguish over the tragedy, emphasizing that those with no voice or means of defense are the ones suffering the most. She described their stolen futures as a wound deeper than words can convey.
