BJP National Spokesperson RP Singh highlighted Pakistan's economic struggles in the wake of recent conflicts, stating Pakistan's plea for international financial support following just a one-day engagement. This, he said, underscores the country's dire economic condition. Singh assured that the Indian armed forces are prepared to deliver a decisive response to Pakistani provocations.
Singh emphasized that Pakistan seems intent on a self-defeating battle, asserting that Islamabad initiated the conflict while India merely retaliates without escalation. Amid these tensions, the Indian Army successfully repelled multiple drone assaults from Pakistan along the western border and the Line of Control during the night of May 8-9.
The Indian Army recounted that Pakistan Forces launched extensive drone and munition attacks along the Western Border on May 8-9, accompanied by numerous ceasefire violations at the Line of Control. These were met with a robust Indian response, including the use of the Akash air defense missile system, critical in thwarting Pakistani drone threats.
Defense officials confirm the Akash system, deployed along the Pakistan border by both the Indian Army and Air Force, proves effective against aerial threats. The system's capabilities allow for real-time multi-sensor processing, engaging multiple targets simultaneously, ensuring comprehensive area defense.
In the latest countermeasure, the Indian Army reportedly downed more than 50 Pakistani drones in a large-scale operation. The Indian Armed Forces also neutralized Pakistan's coordinated drone and missile attempts on Northern and Western military sites during May 7-8, including disabling an Air Defense system in Lahore.
