Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, calling the latter's upcoming visit to Bihar a taxpayer-funded political campaign. Speaking in Gopalganj, Kishor condemned Modi's third visit within two months, accusing the NDA-BJP government of using state resources for election purposes.

Kishor pointed to a consistent pattern, remarking, "This is a set pattern of the NDA-BJP Government that, wherever elections are due, the PM comes there as the government visit and does political campaigning." He questioned the allocation of Bihar's public funds for these events, challenging why state resources should be spent on political rallies.

Addressing a core issue, Kishor emphasized the need for Modi to tackle Bihar's migration crisis. He noted the irony of Bihar's youth voting for the BJP due to Modi's appeal while being compelled to seek work in Gujarat. The NDA governs both Bihar and the Center, yet questions remain on why development seems skewed in favor of states like Gujarat.

As Bihar's elections loom, expected this October or November, the political climate intensifies. The NDA, comprising BJP, JD(U), and LJP, aims to maintain control, whereas the opposition INDIA bloc, including RJD, Congress, and left parties, seeks to dethrone Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Currently, the NDA holds a majority in the Bihar Assembly, while the opposition stands united but in the minority.
