BJP Accuses Tejashwi Yadav of Polarizing Bihar with Waqf Act Comments

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a vociferous critque against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday. The BJP accused Yadav of dividing Bihar's society with his comments on the Waqf Act and labelled him a 'Maulana' as the state gears up for assembly elections this year.

BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia alleged that Yadav's rhetoric was aimed at ushering in Sharia law for selective empowerment, contrasting this with the NDA's vision for inclusive progress. Bhatia dismissed Yadav's claims that the opposition's victory would nullify the Waqf Act, citing the supremacy of the Constitution.

Further attacking Yadav's credentials, Bhatia questioned the RJD leader's constitutional literacy, equating his political moves with the 'jungle raj' era under RJD rule. Bhatia vowed that the NDA would reclaim power in the upcoming elections, framing Yadav and the RJD as proponents of anti-democratic agendas.
