The Madhya Pradesh assembly's Monsoon session commenced on a somber note, as tributes were paid to the victims of the June Ahmedabad plane crash and the Pahalgam terror attack.
Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar expressed condolences for the passing of prominent figures, including actor Manoj Kumar and former Union minister Girija Vyas, and led a two-minute silence in their memory.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav condemned the recent terrorist attack and commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Operation Sindoor, while highlighting the contributions of Manoj Kumar to Indian cinema's patriotic legacy. The assembly session was adjourned until the following day and will conclude on August 8.
