In a striking statement during a Lok Sabha session, Lok Janshakti Party MP Shambhavi Choudhary declared that India, under its new paradigm, reacts to terrorist attacks with decisive action rather than passive candlelight marches. Addressing Operation Sindoor, Choudhary emphasized, "This is a new India, igniting the enemies' pyres—not candles—after terrorist attacks."
Choudhary asserted that while India remains a proponent of peace inspired by saints, it does not shy away from robust defense when national interests are jeopardized. She criticized domestic political factions for prioritizing international issues over national concerns, suggesting political motivations behind these allegiances.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, during the session, strongly refuted any third-party involvement in India-Pakistan negotiations. The Minister highlighted India's success in spotlighting Pakistan's use of cross-border terrorism on the international stage, despite opposition criticisms and US President Trump's mediation claims.
Jaishankar recounted how US Vice President JD Vance's warning of an imminent Pakistani attack led to a swift, robust response by the Indian Armed Forces, thwarting the aggression on May 9th and 10th. The decisive actions drew applause from the Lok Sabha, exemplifying India's new normal in addressing terrorism.
