The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance is scheduled to meet on Tuesday afternoon to delve into the Bankruptcy Code's performance. Officials from the Reserve Bank of India will provide oral evidence on 'Review of working of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and Emerging Issues' during this meeting.
Simultaneously, the panel will consider adopting draft Action Taken Reports on various previous committee reports. Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha is in session to continue discussions surrounding Operation Sindoor. Home Minister Amit Shah is anticipated to address the Lower House between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM as part of the proceedings.
In the Rajya Sabha, proceedings were adjourned shortly after commencement and are set to resume at 2 PM with a 16-hour-long debate planned on Operation Sindoor. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other key ministers such as Rajnath Singh and S Jaishankar are expected to participate. The Congress party has been allocated roughly two hours of debate, led by party president Mallikarjun Kharge. Discussions are centered around India's assertive military response following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, with tensions between the opposition and the ruling party evident.
