The Congress took a significant step in its organizational restructuring on Tuesday by setting up the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) and appointing key office-bearers under the leadership of its Maharashtra unit.
The Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee's 36-member PAC now includes notable leaders like AICC in-charge of the State Ramesh Chennithala as chairman and prominent Congress figures such as Harshvardhan Sapkal, Vijay Wadettiwar, and Mukul Wasnik as members.
In a sweeping overhaul, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge also approved the appointment of numerous general secretaries, vice presidents, and district presidents, highlighting the party's focus on strengthening its grassroots and youth wings through strategic leadership positions.
