Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, declared on Saturday that India's election process is 'already dead,' alleging that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were 'rigged' with substantial evidence to prove it. Gandhi was speaking at the 'Constitutional Challenges - Perspectives & Pathways' annual legal conclave.
Accusing the government of electoral manipulation, Gandhi stated that over 80 Lok Sabha seats were compromised in the recent general elections. According to documentation reviewed by Congress, 1.5 lakh out of 6.5 lakh voters in the polls were 'fake,' casting doubt on the Election Commission's credibility.
Gandhi also highlighted suspicions dating back to the 2014 elections and pointed to anomalies seen in Maharashtra's assembly elections, where an abrupt influx of new voters seemed to favor the ruling party, BJP. With alleged evidence, he promised to expose these electoral malpractices.
