In a scathing critique of the Congress-led opposition, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday lambasted the opposition for questioning the success of Operation Sindoor, instead of lauding the heroism of India's armed forces.
Speaking at a media event, Singh accused the Congress of being too lenient on issues of insurgency while in power, framing innocents under the guise of 'saffron terror' due to vote bank politics.
Addressing a past instance, Singh highlighted how former leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee supported the government during the 1971 war, drawing a contrast to today's political landscape.
Singh emphasized the necessity of political unity to combat terrorism effectively, asserting that the leadership under Prime Minister Modi demonstrates decisive action contrasted with Congress's previous softer stance.
Highlighting past terror attacks as a thing of history, Singh credited the Modi government for India's rapid economic growth, affirming that the nation and Bihar are securely progressing under NDA governance.
