Controversy Erupts Over Rahul Gandhi's Remarks on Arun Jaitley
The BJP criticized Rahul Gandhi's comments about late Union minister Arun Jaitley, accusing him of spreading 'fake news'. Gandhi claimed Jaitley approached him regarding his opposition to the farm laws, which the BJP refutes, pointing out Jaitley's death in 2019 predates the laws' introduction in 2020.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leveled allegations against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday, asserting that he made misleading statements about the late Union minister Arun Jaitley. Labeling Gandhi's remarks as 'fake news', BJP demanded factual adherence from the Congress leader.
During the Congress's annual legal conclave, Gandhi recounted an interaction with Jaitley, alleging that the former minister tried to intimidate him over the farm laws. However, Amit Malviya, head of the BJP IT cell, quickly countered Gandhi's claims on social media, emphasizing that Arun Jaitley had passed away before the farm laws were introduced.
Backing the party's stance, Arun Jaitley's son, Rohan Jaitley, voiced his disapproval, urging Rahul Gandhi to respect the deceased. Rohan highlighted that his father was known for his democratic values and consensual approach rather than issuing threats over opposing views.
