The Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT), a key ally of the ruling BJP in Tripura, is pressing for a special intensive revision of the state's electoral rolls, akin to the recent updates in Bihar.
This push follows a meeting between the Tipra Motha Party (TMP), another ally, and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar regarding the same issue.
The IPFT's four-member delegation, led by president Prem Kumar Reang, met with the CEC to submit a memorandum promising accuracy and fair inclusion of voters.
